Maryland High School Football - Catoctin drops to Mountain Ridge
September 8, 2022: Frostburg, MD 21532 In Thursday's non-league game, the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) football team knocked off the visiting Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), by a score of 41-14.
The Miners (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers come into the Western Maryland game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Allegany was knocked off by Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD), 17-3, in a non-league game.
The Cougars now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Governor Thomas Johnson for a Central Maryland game on Friday, September 16. Catoctin will battle a Patriots team coming off a 42-23 league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
