In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Manchester Valley Mavericks football squad scored a close 24-21 victory over the North Hagerstown Hubs.

In their next game, the Mavericks clash with the Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) in a Carroll County match, on Friday, September 15. Manchester Valley will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 42-28 non-league loss to Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD).
