The Burges Mustangs football team (El Paso, TX), was beaten 27-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX)

The Matadors (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chapin (El Paso, TX). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Chapin was beaten by El Dorado (El Paso, TX), 20-10, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ysleta for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16. Burges will meet a Indians team coming off a 49-26 non-league win over Bowie (El Paso, TX). The Indians record now stands at 1-2.
