New Mexico High School Soccer - Cibola knocks off West Mesa
September 9, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87121 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) and the host West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Cibola's soccer squad triumph over West Mesa by a count of 8-0.
The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Del Norte was overwhelmed by Cottonwood Classical Prep (Albuquerque, NM), 11-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Mustangs battle the Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 12. West Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the match with a 5-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).
