Virginia High School Soccer - Westover Christian Academy overwhelmed by New Covenant
September 9, 2025: Lynchburg, VA 24501 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) soccer team routed the visiting Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA), by a margin of 6-0.
The Gryphons now hold a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Southwest Virginia Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. New Covenant will encounter a Conquerors squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Conquerors record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Westover Christian Academy moves to 6-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Temple Christian (Madison Heights, VA) to encounter the Crusaders in a VACA challenge on Friday, September 12. The Crusaders go into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Temple Christian won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA)
