September 11, 2025: Whispering Pines, NC 28327 The Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles (Erwin, NC) volleyball knocked off the host Sandhills Classical Christian Lions (Whispering Pines, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to New Garden Friends for a NCISAA Mid-Carolina bout on Friday, September 12. Cape Fear Christian Academy will confront a Bears squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lee Christian (Sanford, NC). The Bears record now stands at 3-2.
The Lions (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Father Capodanno (Vass, NC). The Grunts enter the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Father Capodanno notched a victory over Spirit of Life Christian Academy (Clinton, NC), 3-0, in a league match.

The SCCS lions fell short against the Cape Fear Eagles in 1-3 sets. The Lions were led defensively by Riley Jackson with 27 digs followed by Jersi Olsen with 19 digs. The Lions were led offensively by Ayla Roberto and Jersi Olsen with 6 kills each and Camryn Hudgins with 5 kills.
