September 12, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78234 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Cole Cougars (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), saw Cole's volleyball squad nip Nixon-Smiley by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Cole upgrades its record to 8-20 on the year. The Cougars travel to Great Hearts Northern Oaks (San Antonio, TX) to play the Griffins in a 3A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, September 15. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Great Hearts Northern Oaks lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Luling (Luling, TX)
The Mustangs now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Great Hearts Monte Vista for a 3A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, September 15. Nixon-Smiley will play a squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Randolph (Universal City, TX). The record now stands at 1-3.
