In Friday's league match, the host Platteville Hillmen football squad scored a close 40-38 triumph over the Lancaster Flying Arrows.

The Hillmen (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Richland Center (Richland Center, WI). The Hornets come into the Southwest Wisconsin match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Richland Center was nudged by New Glarus (New Glarus, WI), 25-7, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Flying Arrows play the River Valley Blackhawks (Spring Green, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin battle, on Friday, September 19.
