LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), 41-24 in a non-league battle.

With the win, LaSalle-Peru advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Morris (Morris, IL) to confront the in a Interstate 8 match on Friday, September 19. The come into the match with a record of 3-0. Morris won 35-28 in their recent non-league match against Peoria (Peoria, IL)

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) in a Interstate 8 match, on Friday, September 19. Ottawa will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 35-7 non-league win over DeKalb (DeKalb, IL).
