California High School Football - Laguna Creek held off by Monterey Trail

Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA), 41-35 in a league test.

With the triumph, Monterey Trail improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Kennedy (Sacramento, CA) to battle the Cougars in a Metropolitan test on Friday, September 22. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-5. Kennedy lost 34-18 in their recent league test against McClatchy (Sacramento, CA)

With the loss, Laguna Creek drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host River City (West Sacramento, CA) to battle the Raiders in a Metropolitan test on Friday, September 22. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 3-1. River City lost 27-7 in their recent non-league test against Rosemont (Sacramento, CA)
