September 15, 2023: San Pedro, CA 90731 The Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA) volleyball nudged the host San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA), 2-1 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Whitney upgrades its record to 6-9 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Sonora (La Habra, CA) to face the Raiders in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 16. The Raiders go into the outing with a record of 9-13. Sonora won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Maywood CES (Maywood, CA)
The Pirates now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Rancho Dominguez for a Marine outing on Monday, September 18. San Pedro will face a Lobos squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Banning (Wilmington, CA). The Lobos record now stands at 7-5.
