September 16, 2025: Marion, NC 28752 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) and the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), observed McDowell's volleyball team top St. Stephens by a count of 2-0.
With the win, McDowell improves its record to 11-3 on the season. The Titans travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to encounter the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. The Pioneers go into the battle with a record of 12-0. Watauga won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
The Indians now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 18. St. Stephens will battle a Spartans team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 8-3.
