North Carolina High School Soccer - Elkin knocks off East Surry
September 18, 2025: Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) and the host East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), saw Elkin's soccer squad triumph over East Surry by a count of 7-0.
The Buckin' Elks (10-0) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies enter the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Ashe County tipped Freedom (Morganton, NC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Forbush for a Northwest 3A/4A match on Wednesday, September 24. East Surry will meet a Falcons team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 6-4.
