The Southern Valley/Alma triumphed over the visiting Hershey Panthers softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the play the Central City Bison (Central City, NE) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 22. Southern Valley/Alma will attempt to move on its 7-9 season record. The Bison come into the battle with a 14-2 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Ponca (Ponca, NE).

With the loss, Hershey moves to 5-14 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lexington (Lexington, NE) to confront the Minutemen in a non-league battle on Monday, September 22. The Minutemen go into the challenge with a record of 1-14.
