In Thursday's league challenge, the host North Clay Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats.

The Cardinals (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL). The Movin Maroons enter the National Trail challenge with a 6-5 record.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 21. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
