River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Lathrop Spartans (Lathrop, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, River Islands advances its record to 15-2 on the season. The Riptide host Turlock Christian (Turlock, CA) to play the Eagles in a Central California Athletic Alliance outing on Tuesday, September 23. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 2-14.

With the loss, Lathrop drops to 8-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Livingston (Livingston, CA) to play the Wolves in a Western Athletic Conference game on Monday, September 22. The Wolves go into the game with a record of 3-15. Livingston won 3-0 in their recent league game against Central Valley (Ceres, CA)
