In Friday's non-league game, the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes (Summerville, SC) football team overcame the visiting Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC), by a tally of 45-35.

In their next game, the Swamp Foxes face the Fort Dorchester Patriots (North Charleston, SC) in a AAAAA Region 8 game, on Friday, October 4. Ashley Ridge will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record.

The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Darlington (Darlington, SC). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Darlington notched a victory over Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC), 26-12, in a league game.
