With the triumph, Mayfield moves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM) to meet the Bulldawgs in a 5A District 3 match on Tuesday, September 23. The Bulldawgs come into the match with a record of 5-4. Las Cruces lost 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)
The Matadors now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Cueva for a 5A District 2 outing on Wednesday, September 24. Sandia will clash with a Bears team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears record now stands at 7-3.
