September 22, 2023: Kosciusko, MS 39090 Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team rout the visiting Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS), 47-7 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Kosciusko improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Whippets host Caledonia (Caledonia, MS) to confront the Cavaliers in a 4A Region 3 test on Friday, September 29. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 3-2. Caledonia won 31-8 in their recent non-league test against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS)
With the loss, Newton County drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to confront the Trojans in a 4A Region 4 test on Friday, September 29. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 3-2. Northeast Lauderdale lost 38-21 in their recent non-league test against Kemper County (DeKalb, MS)
