The Brookings Bobcats volleyball squad (Brookings, SD), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD)

With the win, Mitchell improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Kernels travel to Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD) to meet the Patriots in a AA District 1 contest on Tuesday, September 30. The Patriots enter the contest with a record of 8-4. Lincoln lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD)

Next, the Bobcats meet the Huron Tigers (Huron, SD) in a AA District 1 contest, on Thursday, September 25. Brookings will attempt to move on its 6-12 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 3-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Aberdeen Central (Aberdeen, SD).
