With the win, Meridian betters its record to 5-14 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Petal (Petal, MS) to face the Panthers in a Class 7 Region 3 outing on Tuesday, September 26. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 12-7. Petal lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)
The Panthers now sport a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Mendenhall for a Class 4 Region 4 outing on Thursday, September 28. Quitman will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Forest (Forest, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-8.
