Virginia High School Football - West Springfield loses to Yorktown
September 26, 2024: Arlington, VA 22207 Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 12-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Yorktown advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Centreville (Clifton, VA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Centreville won 28-6 in their recent non-league battle against Oakton (Vienna, VA)
The Spartans now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Alexandria City for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. West Springfield will play a Titans team coming off a 10-7 non-league win over Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Titans record now stands at 1-2.
