In Friday's league game, the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) football team overcame the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a tally of 23-8.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A game, on Friday, October 3. Cuthbertson will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record.
