The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA) and the host Tunkhannock Tigers (Tunkhannock, PA), witnessed Hanover Area's football squad wallop Tunkhannock by a tally of 42-0.

The Hawkeyes (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Warriors go into the Wyoming Valley 2 bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Wyoming Area was crushed by Berwick (Berwick, PA), 35-13, in a league bout.

The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Lake-Lehman for a Wyoming Valley 2 bout on Friday, October 3. Tunkhannock will encounter a Knights team coming off a 42-0 league win over Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA). The Knights record now stands at 3-3.
