North Carolina High School Football - North Lincoln overwhelmed by Hickory

In Friday's league game, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) football team triumphed over the host North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC), by a tally of 49-6.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes battle the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A game, on Friday, October 3. Hickory will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 5-1 record after their 47-0 league win over Foard (Newton, NC).

The Knights (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils come into the Western Foothills 4A/5A outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Newton-Conover trounced Bandys (Catawba, NC), 36-35, in a league outing.
