California High School Football - Piner can't hold off Sonoma Valley
September 27, 2024: Sonoma, CA 95476 Sonoma Valley Dragons (Sonoma, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA), 14-10 in a league battle.
With the win, Sonoma Valley improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Dragons travel to San Rafael (San Rafael, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a battle on Friday, October 4. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 4-0. San Rafael won 40-6 in their recent league battle against Healdsburg (Healdsburg, CA)
The Prospectors now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. Piner will play a Panthers team coming off a 34-14 non-league loss to Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
