The Empire Ravens basketball squad (Tucson, AZ), was nudged 61-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Desert Christian Eagles (Tucson, AZ)

With the victory, Desert Christian advances its record to 17-2 on the year. The Eagles host St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Wolves in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Wolves enter the battle with a record of 4-9. St. Augustine Catholic lost 51-49 in their recent league battle against Willcox (Willcox, AZ)

The Ravens now own a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tanque Verde for a 3A South battle on Tuesday, January 14. Empire will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 75-59 non-league win over The Gregory School (Tucson, AZ). The Hawks record now stands at 11-7.
