In Friday's league test, the Washington Township Senators (Valparaiso, IN) basketball squad got by the visiting Tri-Township Tigers (LaCrosse, IN), by a score of 37-33.

Next, the Senators encounter the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) in a Porter County test, on Tuesday, January 14. Washington Township will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Cherokees come into the test with a 11-5 record after their 49-33 non-league loss to Andrean (Merrillville, IN).

The Tigers (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Kouts (Kouts, IN). The Mustangs & Fillies come into the Porter County test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Kouts held off Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN), 56-37, in a non-league test.
