In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Amador Valley Dons basketball team scored a good 54-44 triumph over the Sacramento Dragons.

The Dons (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Livermore (Livermore, CA). The Cowboys go into the East Bay contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Livermore was toppled by Dublin (Dublin, CA), 69-57, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons confront the Vanden Vikings (Fairfield, CA) in a Monticello Empire League contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Sacramento will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 11-6 record after their 69-68 non-league loss to Lincoln (Stockton, CA).
