Baker County Wildcats (Glen St. Mary, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fernandina Beach Pirates (Fernandina Beach, FL), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Baker County upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Union County (Lake Butler, FL) to play the Fightin' Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Fightin' Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Pirates play the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Fernandina Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 55-54 non-league loss to Charlton County (Folkston, GA).
