January 13, 2025: Cumberland, VA 23040 The Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA), 55-24 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Dukes now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Randolph-Henry for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16.
With the loss, Surry County falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Franklin (Franklin, VA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Franklin won 42-33 in their recent non-league bout against Windsor (Windsor, VA)
