The Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) basketball edged the host Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA), 62-57 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Freedom Area for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 15. Hopewell will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 68-20 league loss to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-11.
