In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Asheville School (Independent) Blues basketball team scored a close 68-65 triumph over the Queen City Prep Kings.

The Blues (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, York Prep was tipped by Lab University Prep Regional (Charlotte, NC), 73-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Kings battle the Combine Academy Varsity Goats (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 15.
