The Asheville Cougars basketball squad (Asheville, NC), was crushed 90-66 in Tuesday's league battle with the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC)

With the victory, McDowell advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Titans travel to Enka (Enka, NC) to meet the Jets in a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Thursday, January 16. The Jets enter the battle with a record of 6-9. Enka lost 79-55 in their recent league battle against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC)

The Cougars now own a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Buncombe for a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Friday, January 17. Asheville will meet a Black Hawks squad coming off a 57-55 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 8-7.
