North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Rocky River

January 14, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28227

The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Rocky River Ravens to 50 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now have a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a 4A Southwestern game on Friday, January 17. Independence will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 75-54 league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Rocky River falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Ravens host Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a 4A Southwestern game on Friday, January 17. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 1-12. Garinger lost 72-46 in their recent league game against Providence (Charlotte, NC)
