The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Valley Patriots (Turkey, TX) and the host Motley County Matadors (Matador, TX), observed Valley's basketball team overwhelm Motley County by a margin of 102-53.

The Patriots (22-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Guthrie (Guthrie, TX). The Jaguars come into the 1A Region I District 8 challenge with a 14-11 record. In their last challenge, Guthrie trounced Spur (Spur, TX), 58-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Matadors battle the Paducah Dragons (Paducah, TX) in a 1A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Motley County will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 77-40 league win over Patton Springs (Afton, TX).
