Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Mountain holds off Centennial

The Desert Mountain Wolves basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Centennial Coyotes to 59 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wolves now possess a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Pointe for a 5A East Sky game on Friday, January 17. Desert Mountain will confront a Pride team coming off a 78-49 non-league win over Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ). The Pride record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Centennial falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ) to confront the Mustangs in a 5A Northwest Valley game on Friday, January 17. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 6-10. Sunrise Mountain lost 80-52 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)
