Nevada High School Basketball - Mater Academy East Las Vegas overwhelms Sunrise Mountain

The Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights basketball team scored 88 points and restricted the visiting Sunrise Mountain Miners to 30 in the Knights non-league win on Wednesday.

The Knights (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus (Las Vegas, NV). The Blue Knights come into the 3A Southern - Desert contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Democracy Prep Agassi Campus smashed Moapa Valley (Overton, NV), 88-72, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Miners battle the Faith Lutheran Crusaders (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Mountain contest, on Friday, January 17. Sunrise Mountain will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Crusaders come into the contest with a 11-10 record after their 54-53 league loss to Green Valley (Henderson, NV).
