North Carolina High School Basketball - Carson overwhelmed by Northwest Cabarrus

January 16, 2025: China Grove, NC 28023

In Thursday's league test, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), by a score of 70-20.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont test, on Friday, January 17. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 6-9 record after their 47-34 league win over Concord (Concord, NC).

The Cougars (3-13) will now prepare for their test against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights come into the 3A South Piedmont test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Lake Norman Charter bounced South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 62-43, in a league test.
