In Thursday's non-league test, the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Saddleback Roadrunners (Santa Ana, CA), by a score of 71-17.

Next, the Vanguards clash with the Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. El Modena will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Lancers come into the test with a 3-8 record after their 99-4 league loss to Fairmont Prep (Anaheim, CA).

The Roadrunners (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Western (Anaheim, CA). The Pioneers come into the Orange test with a 1-12 record.
