In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies basketball team scored a close 28-26 win over the Northtown Pumas.

The Huskies (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against DuSable (Chicago, IL). The Panthers come into the Chicago Public - Blue South/Central contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, DuSable edged ACERO Garcia (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
