The Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) basketball edged the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC), 43-39 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host North Augusta for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 22. Midland Valley will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 56-41 non-league win over Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-1.
