Florida High School Basketball - Merritt Island overwhelmed by Edgewood

The Edgewood Red Wolves basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Merritt Island Mustangs to 25 in the Red Wolves non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Red Wolves now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cocoa for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 18. Edgewood will battle a Tigers team coming off a 67-23 non-league win over Cocoa Beach (Cocoa Beach, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 11-7.

The Mustangs (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Astronaut (Titusville, FL). The War Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Astronaut was routed by Odyssey Charter School (Palm Bay, FL), 36-31, in a non-league contest.
