North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe holds off Asheville

January 17, 2025: Asheville, NC 28801

In Friday's league contest, the visiting North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball team scored a close 71-66 triumph over the Asheville Cougars.

The Black Hawks (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Warriors go into the 3A/4A Mountain contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Erwin was tipped by McDowell (Marion, NC), 81-65, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a 3A/4A Mountain contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Asheville will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record. The Jets go into the contest with a 6-10 record after their 82-40 league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC).
