The Holy Savior Menard Eagles (Alexandria, LA) basketball edged the host Rapides Mustangs (Lecompte, LA), 66-63 in Friday's league contest.

The Eagles (7-17) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 18-17 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph's - Plaucheville nipped St. Edmund (Eunice, LA), 43-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Oak Hill Rams (Hineston, LA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Rapides will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 12-14 record after their 73-46 non-league win over Basile (Basile, LA).
