Utah High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge holds off Riverton

January 17, 2025: Herriman, UT 84096

The Mountain Ridge Sentinels basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Riverton Silverwolves to 66 in the Sentinels league triumph on Friday.

The Sentinels now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bingham for a 6A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. Mountain Ridge will confront a Miners team coming off a 74-60 league win over Copper Hills (West Jordan, UT). The Miners record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Riverton falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Silverwolves travel to Corner Canyon (Draper, UT) to confront the Chargers in a 6A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 10-6. Corner Canyon lost 71-49 in their recent league game against Herriman (West Herriman, UT)
