Texas High School Basketball - Texas School for the Deaf holds off California School for the Deaf-Riverside

The Texas School for the Deaf Rangers basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs to 40 in the Rangers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Rangers now possess a 20-3 record. They play next when they host Veritas Academy for a TAPPS 4A District 4 game on Tuesday, January 21. Texas School for the Deaf will confront a team coming off a 50-40 league loss to Brazos Christian (Bryan, TX). The record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, California School for the Deaf-Riverside falls to 18-3 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Maryland School for the Deaf (Frederick, MD) to confront the Orioles in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Orioles go into the game with a record of 7-8. Maryland School for the Deaf lost 33-29 in their recent non-league game against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind (St. Augustine, FL)
