January 17, 2025: South Amboy, NJ 08879 South Amboy Governors (South Amboy, NJ) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting East Brunswick Bears (East Brunswick, NJ), 41-16 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Amboy upgrades its record to 6-4 on the year. The Governors travel to Wardlaw Hartridge (Edison, NJ) to face the Rams in a Greater Middlesex - Blue match on Monday, January 20. The Rams enter the match with a record of 5-4. Wardlaw Hartridge won 33-25 in their recent non-league match against Piscataway Vo-Tech (Piscataway, NJ)
The Bears now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Thomas Aquinas for a Freelance match on Saturday, January 18. East Brunswick will face a Trojans squad coming off a 95-51 league win over South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ). The Trojans record now stands at 10-3.
