In Friday's league test, the Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA) basketball squad knocked off the host Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA), by a score of 52-44.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Vista Panthers (Vista, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. Granite Hills will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 7-11 record after their 53-38 league win over El Camino (Oceanside, CA).
