In Friday's non-league contest, the host Pius X Thunderbolts basketball team scored a big 69-42 win over the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs.

The Thunderbolts (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Christian (Lincoln, NE). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 11-0 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Christian smashed Gretna East (Gretna, NE), 60-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Monarchs battle the Omaha Westside Warriors (Omaha, NE) in a A District 2 contest, on Friday, January 24. Papillion-LaVista will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record.
